The Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia (OJRM), with the support of the Ministry of the Presidency, Tourism, Culture and Sports, is celebrating its summer gathering this week, which will culminate in a great concert that will take place this Sunday, July 17, in the Regional Auditorium of Victor Villegas. The musicians will be able to perform under the direction of maestro and composer Salvador Brotons to cope with a demanding repertoire with a work by the director himself, as well as Suite No. 2 of ‘L’Arlesienne’, by Bizet, and Symphony No. 9 Dvorak’s ‘Del Nuevo World’. The Presidency Minister, Tourism, Culture and Sports, Marcos Ortuño, praised “the fundamental role of our youth orchestra, dean of the Spanish youth orchestras, who shows his enormous commitment and talent at every new meeting”.
The concert starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free, upon withdrawal of the invitation at the box office of the Víctor Villegas Auditorium (today from 9am to 2pm and two hours before the recital).
