The event will be held in Cartagena from June 23-25, 2023 and will also feature HEAT, Soen and Angel Witch as featured bands.
The Cartagena Rock Imperium festival extends its duration to a total of three days, from June 23 to 25, 2023. This was announced this Friday at a press conference where a first batch of artists was also confirmed, including Helloween. The band will perform in the ‘Pumpkins United’ format, an expansive lineup that brings back former members such as Michael Kiske as second voice, and legendary guitarist Kai Hansen.
Added to the Germans are other classical groups, pioneers of British heavy metal, such as Angel Witch or Tygers or The Pang Tang, whose influence paved the way for the development of new styles such as ‘thrash’ or ‘speed metal’.
The standard-bearers of progressive metal Soen, or the most classic hard rock stars HEAT, will also perform in Cartagena, while Leo Jiménez will lead a selection of national proposals completing Ciclón, Jolly Joker, Rise To Fall, Elure, The Black Tree and Skullmanie.
These new names will be added to Deep Purple, a first confirmation that became official at the end of the inaugural edition of the festival, which gathered more than 40,000 spectators in the port city on June 24 and 25.
