Foyle Foodbank has been a lifeline for many across the city, and because of the cost of the crisis, families needing more help than before, Foyle Foodbank has launched a new initiative to help families in these trying times.
In partnership with SureStart, Foyle Foodbank will provide families with young children with essential items such as nappies and wipes.
This will be a huge help for families who are feeling pressured on the cost of nappies and baby hygiene products, especially due to the rising costs around the world.
The initiative’s plans have been posted on the Foyle Foodbank’s Facebook page.
In the post, they stated, “We are excited to announce the launch of Foil Baby Bank!
“Parents and families across the city will be helped by a new partnership between us and the city’s four SureStart projects.
This program will provide over 500 parents of children registered with SureStart a Foyle Baby Bank package that includes essential items, including wipes, nappies, and hygiene and grooming products.
In its first year, Foyle Baby Bank aims to help at least 500 families, starting with a summer campaign, providing hundreds of free baby packages.
“The packages will be distributed by the SureStart teams.”
