Tyrol is the wrong place for climate protests

Date:

The protests continue! Climate activists of the last generation caused traffic jams in Innsbruck’s early morning traffic again on Monday morning. This was probably the start of the announced week of protests in the capital. Markus Gassler, chief of staff of the “Tiroler Krone”, writes in his column why Tyrol is the wrong place for such protests.

The climate stickers have announced a “hot action” for mid-June in Tyrol. If true, we can look forward to an entire week for early traffic delays. Every day one or more neuralgic streets would be paralyzed – especially in Innsbruck, because it hurts particularly badly there due to the high traffic density. The starting shot was fired early Monday morning at the Haller Strasse/Anton-Rauch-Strasse intersection. The result was long traffic jams and chaos.
