Minister of Health Johannes Rauch (Greens) presented a new campaign for the corona vaccination on Monday. The Austrian population must be motivated to receive the basic vaccination or the fourth suture before Christmas. 3.5 million euros will be spent on this.
The campaign is based, among other things, on posters, a TV commercial and educational documents for doctors. The latter are again involved in the form of the Austrian Medical Association. The same applies to the Chamber of Pharmacists and the Ministry of Education. “We need to talk directly to people and answer their questions individually. Politicians cannot do that, it is the job of doctors, pharmacists and other multipliers,” Health Minister Johannes Rauch said at a press conference on Monday.
Information evenings and consultations
This is done through national consultation, for example with general practitioners, voluntary information evenings at schools, information material in pharmacies and personal reminders that are sent six months after a corona vaccination. According to Rauch, the aim is to conduct at least one million direct consultations and send 4.5 million reminders.
