Presidential candidate Gerald Grosz presented his election manifesto on Tuesday in a kind of insulting orgy in front of the Hofburg. Passers-by reacted to the former BZÖ politician’s appearance with words like “Ojeoje, the grosz” and “the clown”.
Grosz’s election manifesto includes the immediate resignation of the government, dissolution of parliament, calling new elections, leaving the EU and ending sanctions against Russia.
“Branch”
Grosz described the federal government and incumbent President Alexander Van der Bellen as an “establishment” that had led the country to ruin.
‘Government is destroying the country’
Supporting pillars of the state such as security, social peace and education have become vulnerable. During the Corona period, much aggression had built up and the economic war against Russia, which could not be won, threatened economic ruin and a wave of poverty, Grosz drew bleak scenarios. According to Grosz, the government is destroying the country economically and socially.
The level of the political staff is underground, not the best at work, “but the biggest posts”. Through the countless swearing in the past three years, Van der Bellen has turned the Hofburg into a “running house” and himself into a “swearing machine”.
Video on the net disrupts
Grosz posted a video of himself online last weekend. In it, he waves a beer in his hand and sings “Zipfel in, Zipfel raus”. When asked what he wanted to express, Grosz replied that he was authentic, didn’t have to pretend and had a sense of humor.
Groz received a lot of ridicule and malice on Twitter for this. “That could be the next federal clown,” one user wrote.
