At the election party of ÖVP Tirol on Sunday late at night – around 10.30 pm – a surprising trio appeared in green. It was about club president Sigi Maurer, Groenen top candidate Gebi Mair and Green MP Barbara Neßler.
Maurer is known to have a good relationship with ÖVP club president August Wöginger. The green club chairman also seems to have close contacts in the Tyrolean ÖVP. Platter greeted them warmly. And she stayed at the ÖVP party until midnight.
ÖVP electoral party – or another?
The state of the once proud People’s Party in the Holy Land, on the other hand, can be seen symbolically at Toni Mattle’s election party. Very little was reminiscent of the People’s Party. They searched in vain for the party logo.
The festive color black was exchanged for red. If “Toni” had not been printed on balloons, the venue could have easily been used for the SPÖ election party.
Top candidate Toni Mattle did not last long in the city bar of Innsbruck – around 9 pm he rushed to his hometown of Galtür. Chairlift emperor Franz Hörl was muzzled by the party – he too did not celebrate for long. Nevertheless, Governor Günther Platter remained and was able to play host without any worries.
