Oskar Matute has made an appeal to join the demonstration on the 12th in Bilbao to “affirm that we are an active community, that will not resign or give up in the face of injustice, that we love our people and that we fight for their rights and for his freedom.”
The Deputy of EH Bildu in the Congress of Deputies Oskar Matute has made an appeal to society to participate in the Demonstration called for November 12 in Bilbao under the motto “Basque Olatua. money line” (The great Basque Gulf. Unstoppable) and “being part of something that will change everyone’s life for the better!”.
After denouncing the “arms escalation” that the Ukrainian war which “disregards dialogue and a nonviolent solution”, has warned that “the harsh socio-economic consequences” of the conflict have increased and that it is the working class that “ultimately pays for the piper”. “More and more families have to choose between eating or staying warm, as banks and big corporations break out champagne to celebrate record profits, profits of more than 10 billion. Obscene profits, made at the cost of squeezing to saturation for the workers of this country,” has failed.
“Should stop the warshould spread the wealth generated in this country and we must keep demanding more sovereignty to continue to improve and grow as a country. Euskal Herria needs structural measures that will reverse this situation and create a real future for all Basques and sovereignty to be able to make our own decisions and decide where we want to direct our steps,” he claimed.
“We will generate a huge wave of struggle, dignity and work in favor of this city and its people. A great Basque wave that will move Basque society towards scenarios of freedom and social equality”, he concluded.
