The current Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of the Spanish Government, maro kings, becomes the PSOE candidate for mayor of Madrid. She herself indicated that she had communicated her decision to the PSOE Secretary General and President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and to the PSOE Secretary General in Madrid, Juan Lobato, and to the Government Representative, Mercedes González.
“I want to be the next mayor of Madrid“I’m going to put my skin in this job,” he said at the ceremony held to announce his candidacy for mayor of Madrid, pointing out that many have asked him to take this step and that he hopes to to stand by the task.
Reyes Maroto has said he intends to continue in his position at the government a few more months until the start of the campaign for the municipal elections of May 2023.
The event was also attended by the PSOE’s organizational secretary, Santos Cerdán; the socialist spokesman in the Congress of Deputies, Patxi López; as well as Madrid City Council spokesman Mar Espinar and Councilor Enma López.
