FPÖ quickly catches up – election poll: Bierfest already overtakes NEOS

Date:

The champagne corks will not pop at the Pinken in Vienna: Dominik Wlazny is in better shape than the coalition partner of the SPÖ. A lot has also happened in the FPÖ and ÖVP…

It is quite possible that the city roses will foam with anger like a bad beer at these figures – because the party of Dominik Wlazny alias Marco Pogo is overtaking the NEOS in polls, which is after all the coalition partner of the SPÖ in Vienna. This is the conclusion of a study by W24 together with the IFDD Institute for Demoscopy and Data Analysis. The results:

Vienna SPÖ
With Mayor Michael Ludwig at the helm, the party stands at 42 percent, surprising political observers. After the Wien Energie case, the harder Corona path that many no longer want to go along with, the increase in legal fees and the citizenship debate, many had expected a sharp drop in the polls, which has not (yet) come true.

FPÖ
Party leader Dominik Nepp’s party can sit back and make amends by doing nothing. After the 2020 election bust with a ridiculous 7 percent, the blues are currently at 19 percent.

ÖVP
The Viennese ÖVP with Karl Mahrer is still in shrinking mode and in the best way to subdue the 2015 Manfred Juraczka limbo bar (9 percent). Stands and falls with the federal ÖVP. Currently at 11 percent.

The green
They try with Judith Pühringer and Peter Kraus with a double lead, but are twice as inconspicuous as before. A party in stealth mode. According to the survey, voters “appreciate” this with only 9 percent.

The Beer Festival
Dominik Wlazny can bear the hype after the presidential election and is still 8 percent ahead of NEOS according to Sunday’s question. In 2020, meeting beer lovers was still relatively anonymous.

NEOS
tail light! Freezing in the shadow of the big SPÖ, the little fingers around deputy mayor Christoph Wiederkehr rarely manage to accommodate their core issues. There are also permanent construction sites such as the MA 35 authority for snorers.

IFDD boss Christoph Haselmayer: “Dominik Wlazny has not yet had to position himself clearly on sensitive political issues.”
