The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has set out to repeal nearly a dozen laws from the Spanish government led by Pedro Sánchez, most of which are social schemes.

Euthanasia law: the PP has appealed the standard regulating euthanasia because it understands that it affects the fundamental right to life

Law of education (‘Celáa law’): because “it is equal to below and does not strive for excellence”, in Feijóo’s words.

Comprehensive Sexual Freedom Act (Law of ‘only yes is yes’): Feijóo has spent the past two weeks focusing on the law of ‘only yes is yes’, the enactment of which will result in dozens of sex offender sentence reductions and releases, a fact for which he has requested the urgent amendment of the law and the resignation of the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero. The Popular Group is also working on its own bill that it will soon present in the House of Representatives.

– Law for the equality of transgender people and the guarantee of LGBT rights (trans law)

Reform of the Criminal Code: Feijóo promised to enforce the crime of sedition enforced in the Penal Code and to include the illegal call for a referendum.

Democratic memory law: Feijóo was especially critical of the democratic law of remembrance. “I believe that the president of a country’s government can never lose his dignity. And still less the nation. Memory and democracy are incompatible with Bildu. 960 murders, 10,000 wounded, more than 300 unsolved murders,” he said at the time.

Official Secrets Act: in ‘Genoa’ they see a new concession from the government to their partners because the regional police will be able to determine what is or is not classified information.

Animal Welfare Act: The PP has also announced that if Feijóo arrives in Moncloa, it will withdraw the order banning the hunting of wolves, as they are listed as endangered species.

Labor reform: The People’s Party already voted against it and its parliamentary spokesman, Cuca Gamarra, already announced during the debate on this royal decree-law that his party would reform it if the government comes back to power and impose “the Austrian backpack” as a financing model for unemployment and pensions

‘Tax the rich’: The PP has also positioned itself against the bill introducing temporary taxes on energy, banking and large fortunes. Feijóo wants to withdraw a large part of Sánchez’s new tax proposals and is particularly critical of the so-called ‘tax on the rich’, which he believes will cause capital flight to countries like Portugal.
