FFP2 masks should only be worn in environments such as essential trade, public transport, hospitals and nursing homes. The obligation does not apply to other trades or events. The validity of the Green Passport is extended to one year for those who have been vaccinated three times.
The latter is especially important when traveling abroad. Because there are almost no more G-rules in Austria. Vaccination, recovery or testing is only required in hospitals, nursing, rehabilitation or disabled facilities. Vienna conducts mandatory PCR tests before the visit.
Mask remains our companion in sensitive areas
Where a mask has yet to be worn, both for customers and employees, are those areas where you can’t choose whether to go, such as supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, post offices, drug stores, auto repair shops or office visits.
In addition, face masks are still mandatory in public transport, in the associated covered stops and in taxis and in school transport. However, for bus trips or cable car rides, the mask is only recommended.
