The opposition is outraged – No to investigating secondary political activity

Date:

The opposition to the Tyrolean state government raises serious accusations after the meeting of the immunity and incompatibility committee of the Tyrolean state parliament. No trace of transparency and compatibility, now even the Federal Chancellery should check.

In particular, it concerned the extra-political activities of ÖVP Governor Anton Mattle (three holdings, including two in cable cars), SPÖ-LHStv. Georg Dornauer (including general manager of the Sellrain-Fotsch power plant) and ÖVP regional councilor Mario Gerber (ten holding companies).

“Claims were rejected”
“Functions are simply tucked away when no one knows what the actual tasks are. We have therefore repeatedly demanded that the Constitutional Service of the Federal Chancellery prepare reports on the various functions, but the ÖVP and SPÖ have rejected our demands,” said LA Evelyn Achhorner and LA Alexander Gamper of the FPÖ.

“You Support Yourself”
“Whenever the black-red state government decides on subsidies or support for cable cars and tourism companies, LH Mattle and LR Gerber support themselves,” criticizes Liste Fritz club president Markus Sint.

“It does not speak for a confident state parliament that the government factions are covering up this obvious violation of the law,” explains club boss Gebi Mair (Greens). “We will keep a close eye on members of the government and join the demand for an investigation by the Federal Chancellery,” explained Neos club boss Dominik Oberhofer.
