“The PP is needed in the CAV because it is the only party that has a constitutionalist approach,” he said in an interview offered to Euskadi Irratia.

The President of the Basque PP Carlos Iturgaiz was interviewed this Monday in the program “Faktoria” of Euskadi Irratia. In view of the elections in May and taking into account the current political situation, he believes that the PP is “necessary” in the Basque Autonomous Community, “because it is the only constitutionalist party“.
“The NVP management has failed, and the nationalists have a serious problem with the corruption; not only because of the De Miguel case, there are many others (Alonsotegi, the OPEs of Osakidetza…). All these trunks are nothing more than roots, but behind them is the tribe, and that tribe is called PNV,” he said. For this reason, Iturgaiz believes that Basque society open the eyes“to realize what is happening.”
“Today, some media from the Vocento group repeated that the PNV has invoiced 11 million euros to the hotel and real estate sector in the past eight years,” he has pointed out. “What is the PNV, a political party or a business machine?” he wondered.
In this sense, the president of the Basque PP has reminded that both the popular and the socialists were “punished” in the elections, due to the cases of corruption faced by both parties, “but it seems that nothing will ever happen to the PNV, despite being behind the biggest corruption case that has occurred in the Basque Country”, he stressed .
