The president of Catalonia, who has met with the groups allegedly spied on with the Pegasus malware, has demanded an investigation to find out “who was being spied on, who gave the order and why”. “Confidence in the government is zero,” he warned.
The President of the Generalitat, Pedro Aragonese, has demanded”transparency“to the government of the Spanish state to investigate and take on responsibilities in light of what he has described as the “worst espionage scandal in democracy”.
The ERC leader has appeared at the gates of the Congress of Deputies, where he previously met with the allegedly spied on groups (ERC, Junts, PDeCAT CUP and EH Bildu) with the Pegasus malware, as well as United We Can.
The president has stated that “Trust in Spanish government is 0”and has warned that if a political partnership is not restored soon, it will be “unviable”, citing the support Republicans have given the coalition government so far.
