Austria has become more corrupt again. This is confirmed by Transparency International’s current report, in which Austria lost nine places and dropped out of the top 20. Now, a few weeks after the corruption scandal in the EU parliament involving Vice President Eva Kaili, Transparency International is also sounding the alarm in Brussels. MEPs do not keep adequate records of their engagements with stakeholders – including some Austrian MEPs.
