Geroa Bai and EH Bildu denounced the “very serious” espionage committed by the domestic leadership of the Spanish government of Mariano Rajoy, the then Minister of the Interior of Navarre María José Beaumont, who became known in the context of the kitchen investigation, would have subjected , the case opened by the espionage to the ex-treasurer of the PP Luis Bárcenas.

So, for Geroa Bai, “it’s an attack on the democratic system and a serious one intrusion into the institutional and political system“, a matter of “extreme seriousness” on which they demand that it be deepened and responsibilities removed.
“It is necessary to carry out actions in a transparent and comprehensive manner so that this kind of situation cannot arise in the context of the rule of law,” assured the coalition, which considered that “these unacceptable practices were intended to harm the government under the leadership of Uxue Barkos, democratically elected”.
For their part, from EH Bildu they have described the news as “very heavy attack to the private life of María José Beaumont, to whom we express all our affection and support,” they said.
In addition, “this information confirms the obsession of those in power and the state sewers against the Basque sovereign left and against any alternative to political change, especially in Navarre, which is still a matter of state”.
However, the political formation has stated that “unfortunately it is something that does not surprise us because it is not about nothing newreferring to other cases of espionage within the Pegasus Plot “in which Catalan and Basque independents were victims.”
