The Governing Council has approved the Gauzatu Industria programme, which aims to reactivate economic activity and restore employment through repayable advances. Applications can be submitted until June 17.

The Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment, Arantxa Tapia, presented the program today Gauzatu industrya program of repayable loans of 28 million euro to promote the creation and development of technology-based or innovative SMEs. These are loans that companies have to repay, although, as the advisor clarified“they are interest-free and long-term loans.”
This program, approved today by the Board of Directors, is part of the National program 2020-2024 and is in line with its priority line of action: “reactivating the economy and employment”.
The Minister emphasized the commitment of the Basque government to support small and medium-sized enterprises, and “in particular to facilitate access to finance, which, although not the only factor, is a precondition for SMEs to be able to grow and take actions to launch its competitiveness and technology-based and/or innovative projects”.
The repayable aid granted to each beneficiary entity will be determined on the basis of the size of the company and the share of both the technological aspect and the eligible innovation. However, the beneficiary enterprises must meet the characteristic of industrial extraction, transformation, productive and related services related to the industrial product process and considered technological and/or innovative, and services whose main activity is convergence and integration of security systems against cyber-attacks for IT/OT (tion Technology / Operational Technology) environments in industrial companies (registered in the cybersecurity catalog of the Basque Security Center-BCSC).
The deadline for submitting applications starts at 08:00 AM on the day following the publication of the Decree and ends at 12:00 PM on June 17, 2022.
