PNV and EH Bildu would increase the number of votes and seats in the same proportion, so that the jeltzale formation would win and the distance between the two would remain the same. On the other hand, PSE-EE and PP would stay and Elkarrekin would collapse and lose half of its representatives.

The PNV would win the General Assembly elections of Gipuzkoa and keep the same distance against the second force, EH Bildu, according to EITB Focus, the widest survey ever conducted in the Basque Country.
This special edition of the EITB Focus macro survey comes just two months before the municipal and municipal elections, in which citizens will elect their representatives in the General Assemblies and the municipal councils, which in turn will nominate deputies and mayors.
In this context, Gipuzkoa would be the most contested Basque country in the regional elections, and both PNV and EH Bildu would show substantial growth compared to the 2019 elections. However, both formations would increase their support in the same proportion, one seat and 1 .2 points in vote percentage, so the distance between them would be the same as four years ago.

Specifically, the Jeltzale formation would receive 37.1% of the vote and 21 seats, and the Abertzale coalition would receive 33.1% of the vote and 18 representatives. So if the government pacts of the previous legislature were reissued, the Jeltzale candidate, Eider Mendoza, would become deputy general, replacing Markel Olano, who is not running for re-election.
For its part, the PSE-EE would keep its current 9 junteros and junteras, although it would drop 1.4 points in voting intentions to 15.9%.

More acute would be the fall of Elkarrekin, the coalition formed by Podemos Euskadi, Ezker Anitza-IU, Berdeak Equo and Alianza Verde, which would lose half of its seats compared to those obtained in 2019 by Elkarrekin Podemos and 2 and 7,8 % of votes.
Finally, the PP retains its only representative, but with a fall of 0.6 percentage point of the vote. Vox, with 1.4% support, would not achieve representation in Gipuzkoa General Assemblies.

Research
Maddalen Iriarte (EH Bildu) is the best-rated and best-known candidate in the area, with an average grade of 6.1 and a knowledge level of 65.3%.
Close in appreciation, but far in knowledge, is Eider Mendoza (PNV). In concrete terms, it receives a score of 5.8, while 38.7% of citizens confirm that they know it.
As for the rest of the candidacies, Miren Echeveste (Elkarrekin) is known at 32.7% and rated at 4.9; José Ignacio Asensio (PSE-EE) achieved 32.6% and 4.8 and Mikel Lezama (PP) 23.8% and 2.9.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the media of the EITB Group will publish the third part of the EITB Focus macro survey with data on voting intentions for the municipal elections.
In the case of Gipuzkoa, the predictions for Donostia-San Sebastián, Irun, Tolosa and Eibar are offered.
Methodology
6,649 people living in the BAC were interviewed in preparation for the special edition of EITB Focus on the municipal and regional elections on May 28 (1,543 in Álava, 2,483 in Bizkaia and 2,623 in Gipuzkoa). In Navarre, 1,204 people participated.
Random sample stratified by historical territory, description, municipality, gender and age.
The fieldwork was carried out from February 27 to March 17 in the CAV and from February 22 to 27 in Navarra.
