In addition, the PNV could get the eleventh council member, without a decision yet. The rest of the formations would retain the representation of the last electoral appointment, with 5 councilors for the PSE-EE, 3 for EH Bildu, 2 for Elkarrekin and 1 for the popular.

The PNV would win the municipal elections in Basauri, with 10 councillors, but it could get one more representative to be decided, and thus the absolute majority in the city. In addition, the percentage of votes could increase by three points, as they are, together with EH Bildu, the only two formations that would increase their support in the polls in the next municipal elections.
This is evident from this special edition of the EITB Focus macro survey, just two months before the municipal and regional elections, in which citizens will elect their representatives in the General Assemblies and the town halls, who in turn will later appoint deputy generals and mayors.
The PSE-EE, EH Bildu and Elkarrekin would keep the number of councillors, with 5, 3 and 2 respectively. The PP for its part could lose the only councilor it has as EITB FOCUS sees a fall in the percentage of votes for the popular predicts, from 5.5% to 5%.
