inflation: Due to rising energy costs, expensive rents and record inflation, the residents of Salzburg have less and less money to live on. The state government consisting of ÖVP, Groenen and Neos relies on financial support measures, such as the heating cost subsidy increased to 600 euros, easier access to housing assistance or a social emergency fund. In total, the country spent 40 million euros. There was also a EUR 60 million aid package through Salzburg AG, of which the state is the main owner.
