Hans Peter Doskozil decided to play at home on May 1 and celebrated the biggest holiday of social democracy in Burgenland. For example, Doskozil referred to the electoral success of the KPÖ in the state elections in Salzburg. The KPÖ won there with a single subject, namely affordable housing: “A subject that we social democrats have always claimed for ourselves over the years.” But the SPÖ was no longer believed.
“You have to take risks in life”
With his candidacy for the federal party chairmanship, he is taking a risk, because first he has to win the membership survey and then the elections, the leader of the state party said again. There is also the risk of having to say at the end: “Your ideas and plans have failed. But in life you have to take risks and not stick to functions.’ Not the top officials, but the party is the most important.
“Personally, I always resolved that if I got into a situation where I stopped supporting the party as chairman, if the party had to support me, if I didn’t bring anything more to the party, that would probably be the most logical thing to do. in life, someone resigns,” said Doskozi. In his speech, he emphasized the work of State Councilor Heinrich Dorner, party chairman in the district of Oberpullendorf, who must continue to have “the train to the gate” in the future.
