Koldo Martínez refuses to vote for Elma Saiz (PSN), but assures that “a step forward” must be taken to get out of the “blockade” situation and ensure a progressive mayoralty, for which he will establish contacts with EH Bildu, PSN and Contigo Navarra.
The Geroa Bai candidate for mayor of Pamplona, Koldo Martínez, has explained that he rejects the option of voting for Elma Saiz, from the PSN, as mayor and that supports Joseba Asiron, of EH Bildu, as the progressive force with the most votes, but if it is not possible to obtain a majority, “alternatives” will have to be sought.
Martínez has appeared at a press conference to explain that he will be hiring “take a step forward” to get out of the situation”to blockin which “the first two progressive forces” are present, referring to the socialist candidate’s announcement that she is running for mayor and that she will not support Asiron.
The regionalist list received the most votes at 28 million, with nine councillors, and EH Bildu came in second, with eight representatives.
The head of the Geroa Bai list has said that the majority of the vote is in Pamplona progressive and that it would be “incomprehensible” if it lost and the UPN won the mayoralty. Martínez has not yet contacted the rest of the troops, but he has explained that he will speak EH Bildu, PSN and Contigo Navarraand will not exclude any of them.
Martínez has made it clear that he does not value running as a consensus candidate.
