Election day starts without incident and the polling stations are set up

At the moment, the 60,314 polling stations planned for this general election are fully operational throughout the Spanish state.

Election day started at 9am. without major incidents and with almost all tables setin the context of a summer daysunny and with pleasant temperatures.

A total of 1 789 071 people are called to the polls this Sunday in Euskadi, and 519 898 in Navarre.

According to data from the Ministry of the Interior, 100% of polling stations in the Spanish state are normally assembled around 10:20 am. In this way, the 60,314 polling stations scheduled in this general election.

As reported by the Ministry of the Interior, the last tables to be drawn up are those of the Canary Islands, where schools open an hour later, as well as one in the council of Delicain Amurrio, where due to the absence of one of the members, voting could not take place until 10.30 am.

An hour earlier, all tables in Gipuzkoa and almost all tables in Bizkaia were set, with the exception of Bilbaowhere four of them were not configured, a circumstance that was reached minutes later.

The city of villarojain La Rioja, was the first Spanish municipality to close its polling stations, on this occasion, also breaking its own record, as the seven voters registered they voted in 26 seconds. At 08:00 in the morning, the table was perfectly formed.
