Serious accidents occurred in Tyrol on Saturday! At Erlerberg (Kufstein district) a motorcyclist lost control due to a bump and fell. In Navis (Innsbruck-Land district), another motorcyclist crashed into a rock. Both athletes have been taken to hospital.
The first accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on the Erlerberg. A 25-year-old was cycling on his mountain bike along the forest path of the Unterwiesenalm in the direction of the valley. “Due to a bump in the ground, he lost control of the handlebars and fell,” police said. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries. He was flown to Rosenheim hospital with the emergency medical helicopter “Heli 4”.
Alcoholic crashes into rocks
The second accident happened around 4:30 p.m. A 58-year-old rode his mountain bike in Navis on a forest path towards Unterweg. “During the descent, he turned to his companion, causing him to land on a rock next to the forest path.” The companion started the rescue chain.
