Despite the fact that the number of votes in the general election has reached 100%, some seats in Congress could still dance because of the CERA and EERTA vote. It involves the vote of people living abroad, which can be decisive in determining some seats.

People of Spanish nationality who reside permanently or temporarily outside Spain can vote in general elections. The CERA brings together permanent residents abroad, while the ETA brings together temporary residents abroad.

As of March 1, there were 2,325,310 registered residents abroad in this census, although the participation of this group is usually much lower.

To vote, residents abroad have previously registered in a voter count at the corresponding embassy or consulate. These people have had until July 20 to put their vote in the consulates, or two days less if they sent it by mail.

At the end of the voting period, the envelopes and ballot papers from abroad have been transferred by electoral mail, by diplomatic bag, to an office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from where they will be sent to the relevant Electoral Offices.

The public recount will be between Friday 28 July and 1 Augustand some seats may change in some constituencies.
