The four formations will meet at 09:00 in the Parliament of Navarre. The meeting will take place before the second round of consultations that will be held in the Presidency’s office by the President of the Parliament of Navarra, Unai Hualde, from 9.30 am.
Representatives from PSN, Geroa Bai and Contigo-Zurekin will meet EH Bildu this Wednesday at 9 a.m. EH Bildu at the Navarra Parliament to present the programmatic agreement for the formation of the next provincial government.
The meeting of these three formations with EH Bildu will be for the second round of consultations with the spokespersons designated by the parties or political groups with parliamentary representation representing the President of the Parliament of Navarre, Unai Hualdeof Geroa Bai, will take place from 09:30 in the Office of the Presidency to propose, if applicable, a candidacy for the Presidency of the Government of Navarra.
This new round of consultations is the result of Hualde’s recent commitment June 28in the sense of “reactivating the process the moment one or more of the parliamentary spokespersons transfer the will to appear for the inauguration”, as the general secretary of the PSN, María Chivite, did this Tuesday.
In the order established, from lowest to highest parliamentary representation, the President will conduct the round of consultations with the delegation Vox (09:30). Subsequently, Unai Hualde receives the interlocutors of With you-Zurekin (09:45), PPN, (10:00), Geroa Bai (10:15), EH Bildu (10:30), PSN (10:45) and UPN (11:00).
Once the consultations have been carried out, the President of the Parliament will appear before the media, in the multipurpose roomto announce its intention to formalize the will of María Chivite to submit to the plenary session of the inauguration, which, according to the Rules, must be convened with at least three days in advance.
María Chivite (PSN) announced on Tuesday to the President of the Parliament of Navarre her willingness to stand for election, thus confirming the “commitment” handed over on the occasion of the first consultation roundat whose conclusion (June 28) Unai Hualde stated that he was not yet able to propose a candidacy for the presidency of the Foral community.
The proposal of the socialist candidate and current acting president is the result of the programmatic agreement which, including the government structure of the coalition, they signed at parliamentary headquarters on Tuesday María Chivite (PSN), Uxue Barkos (Geroa Bai) and Begoña Alfaro (Contigo-Zurekin). There are a total of 21 votes for an inauguration requiring an absolute majority on the first ballot (at least 26 votes in favour) and a simple majority on the second.
For her inauguration, the socialist María Chivite will in any case receive the abstinence from EH Bildu (9 seats), which would give it a simple majority of more votes in favor than against, as it is expected to be rejected by UPN (15), PP (3) and Vox (2).
