“Project Ballhausplatz” is the second highly anticipated film about Sebastian Kurz, which will be released in cinemas in September (from September 21). The strip is relentless and confused, some of Kurz’s critics’ statements make you sit up and take notice.
“Project Ballhausplatz – Rise and Fall of Sebastian Kurz” is the full title of the movie. Instead of telling a clear and critical story about Sebastian Kurz’s takeover of power and the turquoise coloring of the ÖVP, the documentary wants to do much more: too many. It starts with archive footage of the 2010 Vienna election campaign, in which Sebastian Kurz and the Young ÖVP supported the ‘Geilomobil’, fruit gum in the shape of a condom and the slogan ‘Black makes you horny’.
