The European Court of Human Rights will examine the trial’s verdict

Date:

The defendants’ defenses argue that the ECHR resolution implies the admission to hearing of the submitted claims for violation of rights.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) will examine the punishment of the leaders of the trial and has given Spain until January 12 to bring forward the accusations it deems appropriate in relation to the sentence handed down by the Supreme Court.

As reported by legal sources, the ECtHR has agreed to dismiss the claims for violation of fundamental rights filed by former ministers Oriol Junqueras, Josep Rull, Jordi Turull, Joaquim Forn, Raül Romeva and Dolors Bassa, as well as the former President of Parliament to research. Carme Forcadell and former leaders of the ANC and Òmnium Cultural Jordi Sànchez and Jordi Cuixart.

The defendants’ defenses argue that the ECHR resolution implies the admission to hearing of the submitted claims for violation of rights.
