Prison for woman held in Vitoria accused of being a member of Daesh and indoctrinating her children

National Court Judge Francisco de Jorge on Friday ordered unconditional imprisonment for the woman arrested last Tuesday in Vitoria-Gasteiz for her alleged membership of Daesh, spreading jihadist propaganda on networks and indoctrinating, among others, her four minor children . .

The court had been investigating this woman for some time after discovering her radicalization as a result of their intense activity on social networkswhere he spread Daesh propaganda messages, legal sources report.

After being arrested in connection with this case, which remains secret, the woman was brought before the judge for questioning on Friday, although she has exercised her right not to testify.

At the request of the prosecutor, the judge sentenced her to a provisional prison sentence for four crimes: self-indoctrination, indoctrination of minors, membership of a terrorist organization and apologies for terrorism.

When the detainee appeared, the Public Prosecution Service defended that there are reasons to agree to her admission to prison, as well as the Suspension of parental authority regarding the four minor children in his care, as reported by the Public Prosecution Service in a statement.

The arrest took place last Tuesday as part of an anti-terrorist operation led by the Guardia Civil, which lasted all morning in a house in the Zabalgana district.
