The judiciary will again have to deal with a 32-year-old from Innviertel who was sentenced last Tuesday in the regional court Ried im Innkreis to two years in prison, eight months of which are mandatory, for reactivation…
The man had accepted the verdict, but the public prosecutor thought the sentence was too low: he appealed within the legal period. The 32-year-old had twice displayed his Nazi tattoos in the outdoor swimming pool in Braunau, which he also admitted. The motifs of the tattoos vary from a ‘blood and honor’ inscription to the initials AH (Adolf Hitler, note), a sun wheel and an SS skull.
Need to change tattoos
The man, who had already received instructions from the court in an earlier trial to have the tattoos removed, appeared at the hearing in a long-sleeved shirt and long trousers. Once again, in addition to the sentence, there was an instruction to replace four of the tattoos within one year of release from prison.
