Conspiratorial Gathering – Opposition Blows the Halali on LH Markus Wallner

Date:

The affair surrounding the Vorarlberger Wirtschaftsbund director Jürgen Kessler continues to cause a stir. The club officials Christof Bitschi (FPÖ), Manuela Auer (SPÖ) and Sabine Scheffknecht (NEOS) now want to check to what extent everything has been lawful in terms of VP party finances.

The three opposition party club leaders gathered for the conspiracy meeting on Thursday and have now targeted ÖVP state party leader Markus Wallner. “Given the current events, we demand disclosure of party finances and absolute transparency,” Manuela Auer summed up the opposition’s concerns.

“Discuss all possibilities”
It is still unclear exactly how this should be done. The Court of Auditors is not empowered to audit and convening a commission of inquiry is quite unlikely. “We are discussing all options, I don’t want to say more,” said Auer.

Bitschi and Scheffknecht didn’t really want to be seen in their cards either, but they already blew the governor halali. “When you hear Markus Wallner’s statements about whether the funds were taxed correctly, everyone in Vorarlberg thinks: The Maisch is not very good,” Bitschi said.

The black party leader had been general manager for seven years, so he knew exactly what was going on. Instead of going to the dive station, Wallner should finally take a stand.

leadership weakness
NEOS frontwoman Scheffknecht identified a glaring weakness in Wallner’s leadership. “If an employee resorts to such methods, as Jürgen Kessler would have done, a manager has to face the consequences. The question is, did you know about it, or did it perhaps even happen on your behalf?” In any case, the claims that mandatory MPs had been pressured to advertise in the Wirtschaftsbund magazine would paint a terrifying picture of customs.
