“At some point, freedom of expression, namely the word ‘co-rape’, will come to an end,” said an LH employee Thomas Stelzer.
The ÖVP politician is now indicting Martin Sellner, the head of the right-wing extremist Identitarian Movement, for having accused the governor in telegram messages of “letting the Syrian (alleged) rapist of a Ukrainian refugee girl “into the country” and therefore ” co-raped”. Stelzer’s lawsuit is being filed as a “injunction request” in the Linz Regional Court seeking a retraction by Sellner.
A political and very personal damage
“The allegations that the claimant raped a 15-year-old girl, that he would bring rapists into the country and organize a population exchange will likely cause the claimant damages that can no longer be compensated with money; both politically and personally,” the lawsuit reads. Since 4 p.m. Friday, 16,100 Telegram users have read the message posted on May 15.
