The partners of the PSOE inauguration, with the exception of the Canary Coalition, submitted the request to the Council of the Congress of Deputies.
All partners of the PSOE inauguration, except the Canary Coalition, have requested at the Table of the Congress of Deputies the processing “through the emergency procedure” of the proposed amnesty law.
As it stands now, they signed the petition Sumar, ERC, Junts, EH Bildu, PNV and BNG.
It is worth remembering that last Monday the PSOE registered the amnesty law alone in the Congress of Deputies, without the signature of its investiture partners. The Socialists also requested that the bill be dealt with under the emergency procedure.
The bill to grant amnesty to the Catalan independence movement covers 11 years of the process, from January 1, 2012 – through the consultation of November 9, 2014, the illegal referendum of October 1, 2017 and the riots after the 2019 ruling – until this Monday, November 13, 2023.
In the text proposes amnesty crimes of usurpation of public functions, embezzlement, disobedience, public disorder and deceit, as indicated by parliamentary sources.
