After Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen was pinched by the Moldovan president’s dog, he reported the incident on Twitter. “It’s not all that bad.”
Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen once again proves his great love for dogs. Although the dog lover was pinched in the hand by President Maia Sandu’s four-legged companion during his state visit to Moldova, he now expressed himself positively and lovingly towards the dog via Twitter.
His meeting with Codrut, the ‘First Dog’ of the Republic of Moldova, caused a bit of a stir, but ‘it wasn’t that wild’ because he was a big dog lover. He could ‘understand’ Codrut’s excitement. He was nervous, poor thing, because of all those people.
Toys as a peace offering
But the real reason for his visit to Moldova is much more important than the accident with the little dog. The conversations with the president, the prime minister, the chairman of parliament and many entrepreneurs went very well. The future of the Republic of Moldova lies in a greater Europe.
On the last day of his visit, he gave Sandu a small toy for Codrut: “This is the beginning of a good friendship.”
