Several representatives of Euskalgintzaren Kontseilua today demanded from the Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, that the Basque government “leap” in language policy face it “judicial offensive” against Basque.

Twenty years have passed since the two sides last met, and during the meeting held today at the Lehendakaritza headquarters, both sides shared their concerns about the attack on the normalization of the Basque Country and the challenges facing the Basque Country looking to the future.
Kontseilua’s representatives have expressed concern about the sentences passed by the courts “against the revitalization of the Basque language” and believe that they are part of the “judicial offensive”.
