The hitherto program director of the Abertzale coalition has a PhD in telecommunications engineering and has worked at EH Bildu since its founding, first as a councilor in his hometown and later as strategic director.
Kanpo Ottonian hair (Otxandio, Bizkaia, 1983) is elected by the political board of directors EH Bildu as a candidate for lehendakari for the next Basque elections in 2024; a candidacy that must endorse the foundations of the coalition.

Those deaths were a ‘founding moment for his family, something that shaped the future and vision of the next two families has marked. generations,” as highlighted by the coalition. On the other hand, his maternal uncle took part in the organization of the first Korrika, and his parents had a clear involvement in Basque culture and municipal politics.
Otxandiano is, at the age of 40, PhD in Telecommunications Engineering by the University of Mondragón (MU). He completed a doctoral residency at Chalmers University of Technology in the Swedish city of Gothenburg, which allowed him to get up close and personal with the Scandinavian countries, their social and economic characteristics and government policies.
The one now presented as lehendakari is linked EH Bildu since 2011. Previously he was a member of the management of Sortu. He was a councilor for EH Bildu in Otxandio (2011-2015) and later joined management as program director. In this position he has been responsible for designing various strategic proposals, such as those relating to the Law of education.
He has two daughters and lives in his native Otxandio. His hobbies are music and the mountains. He speaks three languages: Basque, Spanish and English.
