A 27-year-old died on Sunday night after being stabbed on the street in Vienna-Ottakring. There is currently no trace of the suspect. The investigation is progressing quickly.
According to police, the fatal knife attack took place in the context of a drug deal on the Lerchenfelder Belt. The victim’s wife had to witness the terrible act with her own eyes.
Despite emergency surgery
The woman took her seriously injured husband to the hospital in a taxi. He underwent emergency surgery there, but died as a result of the massive injury.
The police are looking for witnesses
Police are looking for possible witnesses and requesting further information. The taxi driver who took the couple to the hospital is also wanted as a witness. The suspected perpetrator is described as follows:
- About 1.60 – 1.70 m high
- Slim build
- Clear eyes
- Dark, with hood
