An illegally operated gourmet operation in the middle of Vienna was blown up on Thursday with a large -scale focus control -and that under life -threatening circumstances!
The city of Vienna – together with the police, Mon 59 and Wiener Netzen – investigated the suspicious company. But what started as a routine control quickly developed into a large -scale operation …
Access to gas meters refuses
Behind a closed door at the back of the restaurant, the emergency services discovered a hidden gas meter – but the operator and four of her helpers blocked access with all his power. They refused to gain access despite different requests – and even threatening.
Only the fire brigade could finally open the door – The situation completely escalated. The five people became palpable for the police – there were preliminary arrests. In addition, two knives were protected by the operator.
Risk of life through manipulated management
The worst suspicion was confirmed in the open camp: The gas pipeline was manipulated, there was no valid delivery contract – a ticking time bomb in the middle of the residential area. The authorities are now investigating illegal energy consumption, risk for public safety and numerous further violations.
“There was not only unfair for competitors, but also massively threatened people’s safety. The conscious manipulation of gas pipes is life -threatening – for employees and for residents,” Walter Hillerer, head of the group, emphasized.
