The current ‘duel’ on krone.tv between Eva Glawischnig and Andreas Mölzer is, among other things, about the question of how to evaluate the currently extremely weak confidence in the personnel of domestic top politics. In summary: in only five people the positive trust values predominate, while in 22 people the negative ones clearly predominate.
By the way, FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl is in penultimate place with a balance of minus 41, and clearly the last of the 27 people is Wolfgang Sobotka. It has a negative balance of minus 66. Andreas Mölzer makes a historical comparison: “We have values like before the French Revolution. At that time, the political leadership was driven to the scaffold.”
Eva Glawischnig gives examples from the present: “The ÖVP and the Chancellor have a huge problem. And Chairman of the National Council, Sobotka, is the iron ball of the party that is dragging it down.” Mölzer is stunned: “People’s unwillingness to participate in politics is becoming increasingly greater and more frightening.”
The two duelists also discuss the negative mood of the local population towards the EU, which is as bad in no other EU country as in Austria. Glawischnig: “Cucumber bends and tractor seats still represent bureaucracy in the EU. People are tired of this.”
In the video above you can see many more current details on these and many other topics.
