Goia explained that it is a “long and complex” process that started in the previous legislature and that it must now be given responsibility approval of the plenary meetingprobably in the month of January, after which the holding the “mandatory and non-binding” consultation. The file then comes into the hands of the Provincial Council, which can make the final decision on the creation of the small local entity.
However, Goia explained that since there is an agreement between the Igeldo neighborhood association and the municipal council, he does not believe there will be any objections in this regard. In that case, it would be up to the Provincial Council to call the parties based on their representation in the Igeldo area and appoint a manager, he explained.
