Lasa Bai “does not waive” a motion of censure in Labastida, but rejects EH Bildu’s arguments

The Lasa Bai municipal group, a local split of the PNV in Labastida (Álava), has responded to EH Bildu, who proposed last Tuesday to promote a motion of censure against the mayor of the PP in this city of Alava, who “does not resign” to initiate such a procedure, although he has reproached the sovereigntist coalition for justifying this proposal with arguments that “have nothing to do” with the situation of the municipality.

Lasa Bai, made up of three former PNV councilors who left the party, explained in a statement that the proposed motion of censure which EH Bildu introduced to them, she took with her “by surprise”.

Lasa Bai stated on Wednesday that he agrees with the rejection of “the burglary actions carried out in other parts of the state by the right and the far right.” However, he specified that, by attributing this behavior to the Municipal Corporation of Labastida, “There is an abyss”.

This independent formation has stated that the motion of censure is an instrument it “will not abandon”, although it believes that the reasons for promoting such a process should be based on “actions of the current government team”.

“Once again the shipping policy clouds Labastida”denounced, before criticizing the fact that on this occasion “arguments taken from speeches in parliaments such as those of Madrid or Vitoria, and on which agreement has been reached in areas that have nothing to do with the people of this city” be reused in the city.

In the same line, he has criticized the fact that “once again the major parties, the large-scale political positions and political figures, because they cannot be called people, decide to wage a battle in Labastida.”
