-EITB Focus: voting intention: The EITB Focus macro survey predicts a narrow victory for the PNV in the Basque Parliament elections, with EH Bildu gaining two seats. However, if Podemos and Sumar were to participate in a coalition, the distance between PNV and EH Bildu would be reduced to one seat.
-Unemployment data January: The Spanish Ministries of Labor and Social Security publish the data on registered unemployment and affiliates for January, after 107,779 unemployed people were registered in the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) in 2023, 2.72% less than in 2022, and 29,988 unemployed in Navarre , 5.13% less than last year.
-End of the mask in the CAV: From today, the use of masks in health centers will no longer be mandatory in the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) following the decline in the number of acute respiratory infections in the fourth week of the year. However, the Basque Government maintains, as it has done so far, the recommendation to use these measures, together with the other preventive measures.
