The Basque government will allocate 277 million euros for the construction of the new outpatient buildings of the Galdakao, Basurto and Donostia hospitals, which will “facilitate comprehensive patient care and a multidisciplinary approach to cases.”

The tender for the work on the Basurto outpatient clinic building will be launched during the month of February, while the projects in Donostia and Galdakao are being completed and are expected to be tendered at the beginning of April, the Basque government has explained. in a note.

In case of GaldakaoThe new building will have an area of ​​58,000 square meters, spread over nine floors and has an investment of 93 million euros and a completion time of 36 months.

The building will provide space for more than 200 consultation and testing rooms and 5 multifunctional procedure rooms, a radiology room with 2 mammography rooms, 2 remote control rooms, two CT rooms and six ultrasound rooms.

In Waste106 million will be invested in the new building, which will be located on the plot where the hospital car park is currently located, and will have 250 consultation rooms and a car park with 443 spaces.

The new outpatient clinic building at Donostia Hospital has an investment of 78 million euros and an expected implementation period of 36 months.

The building, which will have five floors above ground and a 560-space car park, will house 250 spaces for diagnosis and treatment.

It will be connected in the basements to the Proton Therapy Unit through an internal gallery and to the rest of the buildings of the Donostia Hospital, while an air connecting gallery will allow the internal connection of staff between the different buildings.

The new outpatient clinic in the old town of San Sebastiánlocated in the Pescadería de la Bretxa building and which will serve the more than 13,650 inhabitants of this area and the center of the capital Gipuzkoa, has had an investment of 6.8 million euros.

The center, which will be put into use next Monday, houses 17 general practitioner consultations, two children’s consultations and a treatment room on the first floor.

Goia has emphasized that residents have been “waiting for this building for a long time,” which is “very necessary,” and has emphasized that Osakidetza is “making an undeniable commitment to improving Donostia’s infrastructure” with this clinic, which joins the inaugurated clinic. in 2021 in Aiete and “works in Txomin.” The residents of San Sebastian’s old town protested during the inauguration of the new center.
