Andueza assures that the Socialists will be “fundamental” in the next Basque government

The general secretary of the PSE-EE and candidate for lehendakari assured, during an event attended by Sánchez and Zapatero, that the PSE-EE is a “guarantee of good governance”, in addition to “hope in the face of dissatisfaction, ambition and in the light of complacency and plurality versus sectarianism”

The general secretary of the PSE-EE and candidate for lehendakari, Eneko Anduezahas defended the vote PSE-EE, “true left”, for a ‘new and good’ Euskadi, far removed from independence movements. According to the leader of the PSE-EE, “that is what Euskadi needs: fewer pro-independence speeches, less complacency and more politics with capital letters, like what the Socialists do when they are in government.”

Andueza held these demonstrations in Bilbao during the event ‘Rights, Democracy, Freedom: 20 years since the first electoral victory of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero’, in which the General Secretary of the PSOE and President of the Spanish Government, Pedro, also participated. Sánchez, the former President of the Honored Government, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero; and the candidate for Bizkaia in the Basque Parliament, Patricia Campelo. In his speech, the candidate for Lehendakaritza assured that the Basque Socialists have been fundamental in the Euskadi government and that they will also be “fundamental” in the next government. “We will be essential. The greater the power, the more social policy, the more rights, the more freedom.. That’s what’s at stake. That is why we must win and give everything in these elections to form a new and good Euskadi,” he stated.

He has insisted that Euskadi needs a socialist government because the PSE-EE offers a “guarantee of good governance” alongside “hope in the face of discontent, ambition in the face of complacency and plurality in the face of sectarianism. ” As he said: “we socialists are citizens versus sovereignty, we are stability, economic progress and better employment. The PSE-EE is the only party that has a country project and while others waste time competing to see who has the most independence, we talk about what really matters to the citizens,” he said.

In his speech he alluded to the celebration of the Twenty years since José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero’s first election victory, to emphasize that this was the ‘real change in Spain’. “That was indeed a change of script, like the one we will implement from April 21, when Euskadi will become socialist again,” he indicated. He also emphasized that with the help of a socialist government, “life, light and hope” returned to Euskadi. He pointed out that he himself owes her his own freedom, “we will maintain that gratitude until the end of our lives. “For this reason,” he continued, “today is a day to remember those who are no longer among us but will always remain present, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba and Rodofo Ares, those who fell by the wayside and were murdered while dreamed of a Euskadi.” in peace and freedom, from those who fought and gave everything to make that dream come true. It also remembers those who resisted and defended “joy” despite living the worst years of their lives. “We owe this act to ourselves, because we made it possible, because Socialists conquer peace and freedom for this entire country, and twenty years ago we socialists defeated the lies to build a more decent country,” he concluded.
