The sovereigntist coalition would receive 35.1% of the votes and would be the first force, with the Yeltzales with 33.5%.
If they were celebrated today, EH Bildu HE would impose in the elections to the Basque Parliament on the 21st and could rise two percentage points to the PNV, according to the survey that the Center for Sociological Research made public last Wednesday (CIS).
According to this sociological work, the nationalist coalition would be the first force, contrary to what the previous CIS survey reported. On that occasion, the poll predicted a narrow victory for the Yeltzales (36.1% of the vote). Almost all polls on voting intentions have predicted a technical tie between PNV and EH Bildu, so it would be one of the first times that a victory for the nationalist coalition has been predicted.
In this case, the CIS does not allocate seats. EH Bildu would therefore obtain between 34.2% and 35.1% of the votes; the PNV would follow with between 32.6 and 33.5%; He PSE-EE It would generate between 13.3% and 14.1% of support, exceeding expectations of the previous CIS. He PP would be between 6.7% and 7%, slightly less than the results of the previous poll.
The two coalitions of the confederal left, Elkarrekin Podemos-Green and Sumar Alliancethey would reach a similar percentage, between 3.1-3.2% and 3.1-3.6% respectively. Vox would achieve between 2.7% and 3%.
The fieldwork took place between April 4 and 8, during which 4,025 interviews took place (almost a thousand fewer than in the previous study).
In this survey, 73.9% of Basques announce that they will definitely vote on the 21st and 19.3% claim that they have not yet decided on the meaning of their vote.
The EH Bildu candidate, Pello Otxandiano, is the one who inspires the greatest confidence among the electorate (22.8%), followed closely by the jeltzale Imanol Pradales (22.6%), the socialist Eneko Andueza (8.3 %) and Miren Gorrotxategi, from Elkarrekin Podemos, (3.8%).
