New chats show that Gudenus would have known about a month after the night in Ibiza that the ‘scappy Russian woman’ actually had a Latvian passport. As is known, the Ibiza scandal only became public more than a year and a half later.
For former FPÖ club president Johann Gudenus, the allegations against him in the course of the espionage affair are “nothing new”. What is probably completely new, at least for many Austrians, is that Gudenus probably already knew a month after the pleasant evening in the villa in Ibiza that became known worldwide that the – quote Heinz-Christian Strache – ‘mangy Russian’ was actually Latvian. .
The “Krone” is conducting the talks between the former FPÖ club president and his intermediary Florian Stermann.
Gudenus had the decoy checked
Gudenus had the decoy checked by name and received a negative result – i.e. indirectly the message that there is no one with that name. That’s probably why he asks for the passport of the alleged oligarch’s niece and gets “Latvia” as an answer. A few weeks after the drunken evening, this must have given the blue man a headache.
Despite the false name and identity of the hiding place, the ‘niece’ actually has a Latvian passport. It is also known that she was tracked down in Riga. Gudenus was therefore aware of at least one deception early after the Ibiza evening. As is known, the hoax in Ibiza was only discovered later.
