Six awards for meritorious achievements

Ángel Gil, Ricardo Bañuelos and Manuel Santos López: three ertzainas assigned to the Accident Reconstruction Section within the Central Services of the Criminal Investigation Department and the Judicial Police have received medals in recognition of police work, with a white badge, for the investigation carried out in August 2015, when Leyre Rodríguez was murdered by her simulated ex-husband following a hit-and-run in La Peña.

Ruth Ortega, agent of the Scientific Police Ertzaintza, for her participation in various activities such as the “Prevention of Communication” program, outreach, training and information activities for refugees, migrants and groups of the elderly, as well as in preventive activities for ONCE and the Red Crotch.

Roberto Izaga, an officer of the Scientific Police, has been awarded the medal with a white badge for his work in outreach activities and events of a scientific-criminal nature.

Jorge Óscar Figini, a member of the Police of the Province of Buenos Aires (Argentina) has been awarded a medal with a blue badge in recognition of his work and efforts, so that the Ertzaintza and the Police of the Province of Buenos Aires have become close associates and collaborators .
