The General Deputy of Gipuzkoa today presented the regional institution’s Roadmap 2024-2027, the axes of which will be four: healthcare, a competitive and innovative economy, reducing climate change and collaborative governance.
“We are going to take a leap in political innovation, to jointly respond to emerging social and economic challenges.” These are the words of the Deputy General of Gipuzkoa, Eider Mendozaduring the presentation of the bases of the Strategic Plan 2024-2027 of the regional institution, which took place at the Chillida Leku Museum.
According to Mendoza, the roadmap’s purpose is clear: “to pursue the comprehensive well-being of all people.” In view of this, the deputy emphasized, the plan outlined by the regional institution brings an “innovative impetus” as it opens the way for “new and shared responses to emerging social and economic challenges”, which is a “leap in political innovation”. “.
The launch of the regional strategy has brought together institutional leaders such as the acting councilors of the Basque government Bingen Zupiria and Arantxa Tapia, as well as representatives of the third social sector, the economic fabric, the Basque world, sports and culture of Gipuzkoa. .
Mendoza has shown his determination to take action four major pillarsthe first of which relates to “ensuring every person a care and protection of quality” take a new step in the “personalization, innovation and community participation” of the care offered by social services. In this sense, it has announced that it plans to implement local care ecosystems throughout the territory, in addition to expanding the new, more personalized model in nursing homes and building the new headquarters in Adinberri (Pasaia), Arbes (Irun) and Elgoibar.
The second axis focuses on the development of a competitive and innovative economy by promoting new sectors and supporting innovation, internationalization and participation as key levers for the competitiveness of the Guipuzco industry.
The commitment to reduce climate change and working towards a sustainable, green, coherent and interconnected territory constitutes the third pillar of this strategic plan of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, which will launch the Preparation Center for Reuse (CPR) in the Zubieta Complex with the aim of increasing the reuse rate . of the territory by 30%.
The fourth stage of this strategy is the defense of a democratic, fair and responsible Gipuzkoa that collaborative governance. In this sense, the regional institution is committed to promoting the use of Basque as an opportunity for social cohesion and to launching new initiatives to promote equality.
