The event will take place at 11am at the Basque Parliament and will be attended by the Jeltzale candidate for Lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, and the leaders of both parties, Andoni Ortuzar and Eneko Andueza. The document of more than 100 pages prioritises health, the energy transition and employment.
PNV and PSE-EE They will sign this on Wednesdays (11 a.m) Him programmatic agreement with which they will form a new coalition-Basque government. As in the previous two terms, it will be signed on the special table on the second floor of the Basque Chamber.
The formal ceremony will be led by the PNV candidate for lehendakari, Imanol Pradalesand the highest Yeltzal and socialist leaders, i.e.: Andoni Ortuzar and Eneko Andueza. Both will appear before the press later.
Yesterday, Tuesday, Jeltzales and the Socialists concluded the pact, which is based on a document of more than 100 pages. These are collected there lines of work, between priorities and initiatives for the next four years. Osakidetza appears on the first line. Both Yeltzales and the Socialists agree that the health care system is a priority.
So is the energy transition and the environment have more weight than four years ago in the recently concluded agreement, in which the decent quality worktogether with young people and measures to promote this emancipation.
About the new self-governmentOn the other hand, the differences between the two parties on this occasion have not been agreed, despite the fact that, as the leader of the PNV, Andoni Ortuzar, said: “each political party will have the opportunity to present its proposal.” It is of course clear that we do not have to start from scratch and that the work done so far in the Basque Parliament will contribute to the development of the new status.
According to the information released so far, the PNV will continue to lead some of the departments it has managed for the past four years: Health, Education, Security, Economy and Finance, and Culture. In the same way, it is almost taken for granted that the PSE-EE will continue to lead the socialist departments of the last term: Employment and Labour, Territorial Planning and Transport and Tourism, Trade and Consumption. Housing may also be on that list.
PNV and PSE-EE have already announced that Imanol Padrales himself will announce the composition of the new Basque government after his inauguration as Lehendakari on June 22.
